Ayenna Davis is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since the age of two, Ayenna has always loved singing and was known for singing along to commercials and TV show theme songs.
Ayenna decided to step out on faith and move beyond singing along to commercials and in local church choirs and joined the Grammy nominated (2003) and Stellar Award winning group (2001), Excelsior Chorale in 2005. While singing with Excelsior, Ayenna had the pleasure of singing backup up for and/or sharing the stage with artists that include:

In 2008, Ayenna decided to try her hand in musical theater and auditioned with the Grammy Award winning group, Sounds of Blackness, for a part in their annual Christmas play, “The Night Before Christmas, a Musical Fantasy”. Once the play ended, Ayenna was asked to become a permanent member of the group. While a member of the three time Grammy Award winning group, Ayenna had her first red carpet and award show experience when the Sounds of Blackness was nominated for and received its first NAACP Image Award in 2012.
While with the Sounds of Blackness, Ayenna lent her voice to collaborations with Moore by 4, The Steeles, Ann Nesby, Jamecia Bennett, Paris Bennett, James “Big Jim” Wright. She has sung background vocals with and/or has shared the stage with Alisan Porter (Voice winner season 10), Trent Harmon (American Idol winner season 15), Aloe Blacc, John Legend, Common, and Siedah Garrett. She has also sung on vocal tracks for videos, TV shows and movies.
Ayenna has performed before many in Winnipeg, Canada, Chicago, IL, Gary, IN, Dallas/Austin, TX, Kansas City, MO, PAW Convention (Florida), PAW Convention (MN – 2010), Mall of America (Christmas shows), Kappa Alpha Psi Convention, Juneteenth Celebrations, nursing homes, the Salvation Army, the Fine Line Music Café, the Orpheum Theatre, Orchestra Hall, the Pantages Theatre, the State Theatre, the Guthrie Theatre, Metrodome (2009 National Anthem – MN Twins), Minnesota Twins Target Field (2010 National Anthem Inauguration) Metropolitan State University (2009 Inauguration of the University’s President), St. Cloud State University, North Hennepin Community College, the University of Wisconsin – Stout, Hamline University, Ryder Cup (2016), Many Rivers to Cross Festival (Atlanta, GA 2016), Super Bowl (2018), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
