Bridget honed her vocal skills as a child singing in church and through college’s classical vocal training while studying piano, ballet and jazz dance. Bridget held such titles as Miss Black Kansas(twice), Miss Black America finalist, Miss Black USA finalist, Miss Wichita & Miss Wichita State (both as 1st Runner up) with numerous other titles and awards.
Bridget was chosen from over 500 students nationwide as the soloist of the USO tour for the American Collegiate Talent Showcase performing throughout Germany, Norway, Iceland and Portugal. She was among a select group chosen to backup Grammy-Award Winning vocalists Michael Bolton, Barry Manilow and Larnelle Harris in their Twin Cities tour stops. Her powerhouse vocals of 10 years with the bands ‘The Power of 10’ and 4 years with ‘Brian Kinney Band’ marked her place on the Minnesota music scene.
As a member of the Grammy-Award Winning Sounds of Blackness since 1993, Bridget’s vocal ability has garnered news reviews as ‘bringing robust joy’ and ‘honey-voiced’. She also sings as half of the jazz trio ‘BridgNBloom’ and as a sub with the bands ‘Marquis’, ‘The R-Factor’ and ‘Synergy’. She vows to continue ministering music to the world!
